Case 3: Sentiment Analysis for ESG Topics & Issues
Problem:
Our client, a green investment fund, needed help to build an opportunities screening framework to assess potential investments through a quantitative approach, with an initial focus on D&I performance.
Our Solution:
Leveraging our NLP and machine learning models, we were able to identify both positive and negative sentiment of specific ESG issues through analyzing millions of company reviews written by both current and former employees
The Results:
Through generating sentiment scores on a weekly basis for target companies, we were able to identify companies with reported mistreatment of employees and allow our client to invest in companies with good ESG practices and prevent allocation to companies with negative PR
